Ever thought about teaching as an adjunct prof for your local community college? You can teach evening continuing ed classes one day/night a week and some CCs pay upwards of $1200-1500 per class.

My wife did it a few years ago, taught one night a week, 3 hours per night for 9 weeks for $1300. The class was directly related to the business she's been in for over 25 years, so there was no real research she had to do except become familiar with the assigned textbooks.

what quals do you need? i'm actually getting my masters for the specific purpose of teaching at a CC, which is the minimum standard requirement for teaching anything in humanities

Totally depends on the course of instruction. Some of them require an undergrad, some require nothing but a professional certification.

You did/do bartending, right? Say you taught a basic mixology course on Wednesday nights. There's no real professional degree program for such a thing, so your professional experience and background has everything to do with it.

My wife taught a restaurant management course and she has been the COO at a few private country clubs. She has a couple undergrad degrees and an MBA, but her class specifically dealt with food costs, budgets, labor, etc. She was actually sought out to do the job.

I taught a basic home improvement class on Saturday mornings many years ago. I'd been in the biz for 12 years or so and was a licensed residential real estate home inspector. I went looking for the job.

You might want to reach out to the CC and see what they have to offer and what they need.

Buying and selling is the second oldest trade among human or try the first and become a man-*****. Id say get a better bar tender gig or cut back at your current job while getting a different gig. If your working 60-70 tending and not filling your needs/wants, man that needs to be fixed. If you didn't have a little one, selling drugs is a great side gig... especially bartending.

Oil, drugs, and weapons at the three biggest on the planet if you're looking for a field to enter. Apps are the new gold mining.

Uber, is similar to pizza delivery or red box. They want you cause you have a diver license, insurance, and car. 12$ per works if you're driving a geo merto or old crolla other wise your wearing out your car. Depending on type, age, and fuel mileage there's a cost per mile, just like trucking. Sure the extra money is good, til you put 100,000+ of stop and go miles on 30,000$ car. Id uber, pizzaD, or redbox with a crolla.... id also sell water/engery drinks/ vapor stuff/ etc if I uber'd too. That would help offset the cost at the end.

Id say talk up some of your regulars while tending, (you should know which ones by now) and ask if they have any solutions.

Why don't you sell some of your investment property?  Not ideal, but when times are tough...

Personally, I wouldn't be trying to go to grad school if I had a young child, and especially not if my spouse was going to grad school as well.  Y'all need to slow down a bit.

First off. De caf.

Secondly from a huddle observation you might be spreading yourself thin a little man.

Uber isn't that great when you break it down. You want to make pt money while at home. Save gas and time and wear and tear.

I have using my pocket change to invest via this slick app called Acorn. Check it. Easy way to make extra. Not liquid but a passive way. 18% return so far.

My advice would be maximizing your time to rest, be around your family and make extra without having to physically go somewhere.

Can you elaborate a lil more on acorn?

The same premise as keep the change with bank of America. You buy something and they round up the difference and transfer to your account and invest. Everyone that little amounts get to 5.00 they invest.

You can also choose a set amount each week as.

Oh an a Economist who won a Nobel does the portfolio.

It's a simple no brainer way to take pocket change and turn it into more.
