Panthers re-signed OL Chris Scott

Eh he's been on the team for a few years and stayed healthy.  I heard one of the announcers during the game say he could play center once but I'm not sure that's true.  Probably no money to cut him in training camp so this is essentially a win-win move.

He's terrible just like Garry Williams, Brian Folkerts, Amini Silatolu, and David Foucalt. Really our entire backup unit could use an overhaul.

I dunno.

The coaches were really high on Williams before his injury last season. If he could stay healthy, who knows?

Silatolu was decent before his injury as well.

Folkerts was decent for the steelers filling in as a backup center/guard

Foucalt is a project and should have never seen the field.

I think all of them have the potential to be quality backups.

 

edit- I may have confused Folkerts with Velasco. I don't know anything about Folkerts.

I would love for us to get a legitimate LT + OT depth. I think we have enough guards unless amini goes down again. Has there been any news on Kugbila?

 

I expect Gettleman to cut Kugbila and Silatolu soon. This is why we re-signed Scott.
