So who "has Jerry Richardson's ear"?

It's not like these guys got in the car and went over to Jerrys house together. These "discussions" are most probably chats at charity events, golf course or promo events.

Greg Olsen was helped out by JR a lot this year with TJ so I imagine this helps with their relationship.

Dwill and JR have always been close since his contract renewal, as have TD and CJ

Honestly kinda surprised that only two people have mentioned Cam Newton, and one of those was with a big 'maybe' attached.

Granted, pretty much everything I said about Luke Kuechly applies equally to Newton. But that said, Cam is the quarterback as well as being his team's former number one pick.

Do you not see Newton being part of the inner circle?

The thing with Cam is JR seemed a little suspicious of him when he joined with the whole tattoo stuff and I haven't really seen much sign of them bonding the way JR drives CJ around on the golf cart in training and stuff.

Cam still has that element of young, bubbly behaviour in him. Compare his personality to CJ and TD and you might realise which type of personality JR prefers to hang with.

Richardson is a former player and as such he cares about the locker room and would put a lot of stock in guys who were captains of the team voted by the other players. They are the leaders on the team elected by their peers. I don't know that Richardson would be friends with these guys but they would definitely have his ear I would think. So that would include Luke, Kalil, Newton, Davis, and Olsen right?

I think Charles Johnson is well thought of within the franchise. I don't have any evidence. Just what I think. Kuechly obviously would have Richardson's ear if he asserted himself.

I would go with who ever has been a Panther the longest and probably who makes the most money which would be players like CJ, Davis, Cam, Olsen and Deangelo Williams.

Agree with everyone else that tossed out TD, Kalil, Olsen, CJ & Cam.  I really do believe Johnson has his ear too. Been a Panther for awhile, though he's more on the quiet side, I think his character and veteran mentality is respected by the organization. Normally it wouldn't matter that CJ & Hardy play the same position, but I could see Johnson speaking up a bit on the situation since it directly affects him as much as anyone else on the 53-man roster.

If I was a betting person I would say Voth is referencing at least Charles Johnson. I think the farther away from his position you go the less vocal people would be.

For example I would doubt Olsen would say anything.
