League files motion for Hardy's evidence

Nope. You really have no clue what you are talking about.

The personal conduct clauses in the CBA are very broad. Basically any action that is detrimental to the image if the league is fair game.

Technically hardy did nothing that was detrimental to the NFL. He had full disclosure, called the cops himself, and didn't rum from the charges. If Ray Rice gets only a slap on the wrist the NFL should tread carefully with Hardy.

Hardy's definitely a difference maker, but I think we can win a championship without him. Earlier in the year, we missed his presence, but we straightened it out as the season progressed. Our biggest problems were on the offensive line, the lack of speed at the receiver position, and Charles Godfrey. We corrected the Godfrey at nickel problem, now all we need is a speedy receiver and a good LT.

Besides if we did bring Hardy back, it will mostly be a one year deal, and he will miss more than half of it sitting on his couch at home.

We straightened it out by getting better coverage in the secondary by the young guys stepping up and providing speed. We had very little pocket pressure in that Seattle game. Eventually receivers get open, we need the pass rush to return if we want to remain a force in the NFL. I think if our secondary can remain the level it provided at the end of the season, plus the pass rush we could be one of the best defenses this league has seen in the last 10 years. However, teams now have an offseason to study that young secondary so the need for pressure remains a point of focus for us in the offseason. Keep Hardy for two year vet minimum deal, find a legitimate LT and OT depth, and for Gods sake a Real WR2. Find value in the special teams department particularly Kick returner, and we could be one of the top 5 teams in the league. I do worry about our secondary next year, as the teams evaluate and study their techniques and tendencies.

There was enough for the first judge to find him guilty. Our legal system vacates that trial and gives him a trial by jury. However, that trial did happen and there was evidence presented. That evidence will be evaluated by the league.

And the league might find like most people who actually read followed and read the testimony in this case that it was a judgment call by the 1st judge... Not really a fact base conviction. . The league might make a different judgment call based on the evidence. . That again wasn't good enough for the prosecutor to go thru with the jury trial. ..

What is the point of taking last year's money back?

He didnt choose to not play football, and it doesnt benefit us in any way other than give ole Jerry some extra gas money.

For a guy who is indisputably legally innocent, there sure seem to be a lot of stipulations for him to "prove" himself or whatever.

I don't mean give good ole JR money back, I mean rollover 12.2mm to this years Cap space. I know I'm delusional! It just seemed, I don't know, fuging fair. We were stripped of our franchised player for the sake of TMZ, and media outlets. The man never admitted guilt, fought for his reputation and lost a season and value. The league saving its image to the detriment of one of its members. Hum I guess I am delusional. Ethical but delusional, now where did I but my Zoloft and Xanaxs?

You are saying a judge made a judgement call?

Ground breaking.

Yes I go.. and the NFL looking at the same evidence that again wasn't enough to follow thru without the "victim" testimony might make a different judgment call..

Let's be real IGO the 1st judge (with no reason) chose to go with the victim story (that change 3x) ... while most of us and local media had question about her credibility. ..

Dude, that part's just not gonna happen.

The NFL doesn't feel they did anything unfair putting Hardy on the exempt list. As far as us getting screwed on the cap, they'd put that in the old 'YP' category (i.e. 'your problem') for franchising a volatile guy in the first place.

I think it was more about not wanting to make a real decision and just kicked the can.

No, this is still about the domestic violence.

As I said, all that has been proven us that he paid holder and she went away.

League is evaluating whether tgere us enough there to warrant a suspension.

Remember Rothlesberger was suspended even though he was never found guilty.

Not saying he should it should not. Just what I think the league is looking at.

Did I miss something over the last couple days? While I've heard a lot of conjecture and a lot of, "... it appears as though...", but where is there any proof Hardy paid her off to go away? Perhaps a bit of circumstantial indication he paid her off, but has anyone come forward with proof of an actual settlement?

It's not like she completely disappeared, she simply traveled, posted to her FB account and it sure doesn't appear she was trying to become anonymous. The DA simply didn't feel the case was worth the money to have people going all over the country to serve her with a subpoena.

anyone who thinks we can just offer the vet min and Hardy will be like..."Great! I'm all yours'" are smoking something.

dude is top-5, if not top-3 DE.

It might not be the Vet Minimum that gets him to sign.. And Voth's article is saying that Greg may be willing to play for below market Value to stay here and prove himself to Jerry and the team. I agree he should take tge money and run.. But what we thought about Greg wanting money instead of being here might be wrong. .
