I don't want to say if the Bucs draft Mariota it's a mistake. But I believe if the plan is for him to start day 1 then it will be a tough battle for the rookie. Because more then likely he will be the starter when the heat is on. Jameis is more prepared to be the day 1 starter then Mariota right now. But I do agree for now and the future that Mariota is probably safest pick.

The thing is I like Mariota. He's a humble and pretty likeable guy so I wouldn't want to see him on a rival's team. Winston is much easier to boo.

I hope I don't end up eating these words, but neither of these guys strikes fear in my heart as a player who is going to come in and dramatically change the fortunes of TB, either next season or over the next few seasons.  They both seem far more likely to get Lovie fired than to lead him to the playoffs, IMO.
