So what is the difference between a mix tape and an album from his perspective?

I always thought a mix tape was something that was made in the 80's for your crush/person you were "going with".

mixtape is like a little free treat for your fans that maybe you don't try as hard on. Album is the top notch work and charge money for it. In this case, this would have been a mixtape but he released it in the form of an album, making this his 4th album, which means he completed his 4 album deal with cash money records, which lil wayne and drake want to leave

drake is the hottest in the game right now and his influence is insane.. this "album" was a mixtape of throwaway songs off his real album but is better than other rappers could dream of making an album to be

yeah. For me I really like the beginning but then it just gets kinda bland. Some dope stuff though, and as the other guy said these are nothing but throwaways. Actual Album should be sick
