More reason to think that they will take Winston.  If they were going to take Mariota then they would want to keep McClown for a little bit simply because Mariota will not be ready to start day one.

Negative, I just don't want to hear how great he is coming out of college.  When our QB was 10X better and got destroyed, or RW got destroyed, and other QBs coming out were better than him.  Now this guy is coming out and hes the 2nd best rated QB since Luck?  Get the fug out of here.

How much control does Lovie Smith have in Tampa? I could easily see him trading the #1 away to pick up a couple of defensive guys early then bringing in a Vet QB.

I honestly don't think Winston or Marriota will end up being all that great, just my opinion. But I pray the Bucs take Winston because he could easily derail with money and sink Tampa into media misery. Not to mention some of the absolutely terrible decisions he makes from time to time.

Player's follow him, he was the vocal leader of that team as a redshirt freshman, that alone will get him looks. Coaches like him, players like him, and once he goes a couple of years without being in trouble and begins to give back the way Cam has, the general public will like him.

 

The argument I have is not related to off the field issues but the phrase, "the most NFL ready QB." Need I remind any Panther fan where we have heard that before.

He was also banned from a game after standing on the cafeteria table yelling explicits. Then after being told he couldn't play, he suited up and tried to take the field. And the stealing crab legs. He has character concerns no doubt. But mostly just due to a lack of maturity

The table thing is bullshit though. If any other student does that it's funny but dies down in ten minutes. But he didn't "suit up" apparently there was a miscommunication in what he was supposed to do. Was an equipment manager or something
