2015 Summer Transfer Thread

Yea I've seen them and I don't doubt that his agent (brother) is offering him up to every club possible to put the pressure on RM. That said, I would be pretty surprised if Ramos went anywhere, and AS/MArca/Copa/Managing Madrid etc have all said he met with RM today to try and work out an extension. I think it's all a negotiating play to try and maximize his contract. Much like Ronaldo being "sad".

Could very well be. I'd also be surprised if he switched to United.

He's gonna be 30 soon... This is his last chance to cash in so I think money talks.

He can't cash in at RM? They're offering him 8 million per season, and he wants 10. Logic says they'll meet somewhere in the middle around 9 or RM will just say fug it and give him 10.

But tbh, if they could get 50 million pounds for Ramos I would do it in a heartbeat and sign Hummels.

I think he's saying Ramos might choose the highest bidder. Man United paid Falcao almost £300k/week to be garbage. Not saying RM can't match that. They obviously can. Just not sure they will.

I would hope they wouldn't go over 9 tbh. He was dreadful Defensively last year. Sell him to the highest bidder and bring in Hummels or Laporte.

Apparently RM planning on bidding £23m for Laurent Koscielny.  He's by far Arsenal best defender and great leader but he's also getting out there in age.  He will be 30 years old when season starts. Koscielny has 2-3 good seasons left in him at top level and I won't be shocked if Wenger decided to cash in.  Rumor is... Arsenal is trying to sweeten the deal so they could take one of RM players.

If RM gets Kos, they will get top 5 best CB in the world.

Spurs signing Toby Alderweireld... Very good signing for the Spurs.  Very good CB.  Saints getting raided again.  Morgan Schneiderlin is also leaving but unknown where... It's between Chelsea, Arsenal and United.

Fabian Delph on verge of joining City.

Yea, I've been watching Alderweirled since his early Ajax days. Really wanted LFC to sign him in 2013.

Spurs backline could be very good. I'm a bit of a homer when it comes to USA players, but I think Yedlin could be something special for them too. They need to keep Lloris for another year though.

I believe they sending Yedlin away on a year long loan.

    • I don't get the Hunter hate. Just imagine his ceiling if he stopped trying to be this 2way freak and focused on one side of the ball
    • 100%.  You have to play the cards that are dealt.  Not the cards you wish were dealt.
    • I'd say its definitely going to be addressed this off-season.  We went into the last draft with a roster of RBs including:  Chubba, Blackshear, and Miles Sanders. We picked Jonathan Brooks in the second and still signed Rashaad Penny afterwards.  Fast forward....One turned into a top 10 back, 1 is injured/out for most if not all the '25 season, 1 retired, 1 will either take a huge paycut or be cut, and the last is a restricted free agent. We brought in Mike Boone as well. Add him to the free agent list also.  We need a physical option.    Which qualifies:  Ashton Jeanty(Boise St): Overall ranked Top 10. Almost 2k yards after contact, 28 tds. Would take our first rounder. My money would be on an NFC East team selecting him. (97.2 PFF run grade) - 121 forced missed tackles.  Omarion Hampton(UNC): Ranked everywhere from 20 - 59 overall. Consensus #2 back after Jeanty. He'll be a second rounder. 1,222 Yards after contact w/ 15 tds.  (90.5 PFF run grade) - 72 forced missed Tackles Kaleb Johnson(Iowa): Ranked from 38 - 69 depending on which media outlet you prefer but generally #3. 2nd/3rd possibly. 1,060 Yards after contact w/ 21 tds.(86.7 PFF run grade)- 66 forced missed tackles Cam Skattebo: Ranked from the 50's - 104. Every mock I do he ends up BPA at some point. 969 Yards after contact w/ 17 tds(92 PFF Run Grade). Probably the best receiving back of the group. 81 forced missed tackles.  If the '24 and '25 draft classes were combined, IMO the rankings would be, in order: Jeanty, Hampton, Brooks, Johnson, Skattebo. I wouldn't take one high but I'd take one for Chubba and Brooks insurance.
