Pirlo THIS close to signing with NYCFC, which would give them Pirlo, Frank Lampard, and David Villa. They also just signed Andoni Iraola. Sure, they're all "old" but in MLS terms, they're stars. I feel lucky to be here, just like LA fans. With exception to Kaka in Orlando, most European guys who'll come here will only want to go to LA, NYC, and maybe Toronto. The rest of the league can suck it.

I don't think Liverpool will get Benteke. Tony Evans has basically said Liverpool value Benteke at £20m and won't pay anything close to Villa's £32m asking price. Looking at Bacca and Rondon right now.

Pirlo may be old, but he still has a lot to give. Surprising he's going to MLS honestly. He's one of the most important players at his position.

Petr Cech should be announced as Arsenal goalie by Wednesday per multiple reports.  Cech already agreed on everything with Arsenal and Arsenal agreed with Chelsea on 11m pounds fee.  Petr Chec is 3rd best rated GK in EPL only behind De Gea (who about to leave) and current Chelsea goalie Courtois.  Apparently Morinhoe refused to sell but Roman Abramovic allowed Cech to pick his own team as a reward for all he did for Chelsea.

 

Arsenal had some of the worst rated goalies over the last 6 years.  This will be far the best signing of the season no matter who else they sign.

Firmino is good but not a goal scorer, would be a downgrade from Sterling. Rondon reminds me of Giroud...  He also only scored 20 goals playing in one of the worst leagues in Europe.  Bacca would be the best signing.  Liverpool needs a quality striker.  Suarez-Sturridge-Sterling were absolutely deadly on counter attacks, Liverpool need that speed.

Sky reports that Chelsea and Arsenal agreed on 10.9m pounds transfer fee for Petr Cech and deal should be announced soon.

I mean not really.  They tried to play STerling as a CAM but his true home is clearly winger or even second striker.  I think Firmino is a CAM, and our best player (Cou) is a CAM.  SO I'm wondering how Brendan is gonna work this out
