The defense was gutted to pay for the offense that couldn’t score 30. My assessment occurs in the proper context because I can keep two thoughts in my head at once the defense was exhausted in the 4th quarter against the best qb in the league, and that’s the defenses fault? Meanwhile the chiefs defense gave up a game tying ref assisted 48 drive after not giving up a first half touchdown and somehow that’s all because of Bryce’s play? Consistency is not a difficult concept. -

You know it's interesting, I felt the same. For me, in part, in those 2 wins it kind of felt like those teams were mostly beating themselves and the Panthers were fortunate beneficiaries of their ineptitude. I felt perhaps more amusement at watching these other teams dysfunction than genuine happiness by the Panthers performance. Meanwhile for this Chiefs game, the Panthers rose to the occasion and nearly muscled out a win against a super talented team that wasn't making stupid mistakes. I was legitimately proud of the Panthers this week. It felt like for the first time in a while, we earned some real respect.
