Notable NFL writer, Jason Cole: "Extremely unlikely" Hardy is suspended. Rivera wants him back.

I know that some of you hate Bleacher Report, but, basically, I don't care.  Don't hit the link, and don't listen to the interview if it bothers you that much.  It's pretty short and general anyway, based solely on unnamed NFL sources. But, just so you know, Jason Cole has received several awards, including from Pro Football Writer's of America, so I don't believe that he is just talking out his ass.  And, he admittedly says that Hardy could still be suspended IF the NFL could somehow get some damning info regarding his settlement.

He also says that Rivera wants Hardy back and will talk to management about seeing if any kind of deal can be reached.

I think he'll be back if the price is right for both sides.

Honestly, if the price is right, and there is some type of keep-your-nose-clean clause in the contract or else, I would be glad to have him back.  Regardless, I hope that he has learned his lesson and sincerely keeps his priorities straight.

I'm operating under the assumption Hardy won't be back.

But poo, throw him a one year prove it deal, tell him he screwed us with his one year prove it already (franchise tag), and if he does it again he's out. If he stays out of trouble and isn't an idiot, throw him a couple of years with a lot of play based incentives.
