If this is the case, tell me why he waited until the day of his trial, to pay off the witness? Couldn't he have done that many months ago and played this past season? That makes absolutely no sense.

Maybe he did try but she wanted too much money? It's not unheard of for a situation like this to be settled at the last minute. It happens all the time actually, it's called negotiations.

I don't know where people get this misconception that people don't settle cases or make plea deals when they are innocent or are going to win.

Anyone that says this is completely ignorant of court proceedings of any kind.

My bad. I read your post wrong. I thought you were saying his legal team thought he would be found guilty and that's why they settled.

I was shocked too. In hindsight, proceeding with the bench trial was a bad idea. I get the feeling that judge was going to find him guilty and punt it to a jury trial no matter what the evidence was.

Plus, that kind of stuff happens all the time for various reasons having nothing to do with guilt or innocence.

Jonathan Jones reported Nicole Holder has not been available to the DA since November. We don't know all the facts but I can tell you the American public will hear about this on the news or read a 128 character tweet and form an opinion without all the facts.

I've never posted any type of "sources" because I don't have any.But I have a good friend that is friends with her in Wilmington.  Said she would get hammered drunk and coked out and brag to her friends about getting 200K for this.  Also, said she is still in Wilmington and has been there for a while now.  Not out of state or in islands like speculation.

All evidence suggests that they haven't been able to get in touch with Holder for many, many months. Last contact being in October. Looks like he did exactly that. But you can't get a case dismissed until the accuser actually "no shows" on the trial date. That's why the trial date being bumped past the end of the season meant that we weren't going to see Hardy on the field this season.

She was paid off after the first trial! She had fulfilled her first obligation and will get the remaining amount after photos and press conference the week before FA opens
