In the week before his team was set to face the Arizona Cardinals in the opening round of the playoffs, Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera's house caught fire. Luckily, nobody in the Rivera family was harmed in the blaze.

In the wake of that fire, nine-year old Panthers fan Harmonie Frederick sent a letter to Rivera, along with $5 from "the tooth fairy" to help Rivera's family pay for the damage.

Ron talked about this a couple of weeks ago. Once that kid got the merchandise, a bunch of kids from the same neighborhood started sending Ron $5 also.
