Report: Panthers Not Expected To Bring Back Hardy

Can we please stop acting like riding motorcycle and speeding is a unforgivable sin..

If it was just that, then all is well. That can be viewed as natural immaturity. But look at the whole body of work, then ask yourself(answer truthfully) is he really worth offering a huge contract to when its 50/50 that he may not be on the field because of future antics.

JPP would sign for the money we gave Hardy to sit at home and what we would have to give him to come back.

So, safer bet, Hardy or JPP? JPP is the one that can actually support the "elite" title! Plus, he has never been suspended or put on exempt list

If he is found not guilty we absolutely should bring him back with a contract that the team can terminate with another screw up from him...it's not hard to understand ways of making it work and other great teams actually do stuff like that.

If I was hardy I'd go to Atl or Tampa to stick it to the Panthers if they didn't sign me...stupid to get rid of your best pass rusher who wouldn't have even been in this mess if another stupid player hadn't punched out his GF...going back and watching the pressers after Hardy was put on the exempt list you could tell that DG and Rivera were more pissed off at the league than Hardy....this one is coming down from JR and many of us think we won't do poo until he's gone anyway just adds more to that pile IMO.

We have people playing in this league who have nearly killed people...and our first time offender on a missy gets canned....Yes I know he's a head case but if that headcase would take a low salary prove it deal then the team is a head case for not pursuing that.

We bring him back if he were to chose our contract! We can't expect him to sign a clause loaded contract when other teams will offer him loads of guaranteed money. What would you sign?

So a new precedent has been set, JR seems to now think being accused automatically equals being guilty. I just cannot comprehend the mindset of not brining him back on the cheap if he's found not guilty, players love him and want him back. This could have a big effect in the locker room.

A beloved player in the locker room ownership has already deemed guilty before his trial. This might be one of the biggest mistakes this organization has made if found not guilty. Imagine if Baltimore let Ray Lewis walk to another team even though he was found not guilty and he was on trial for accessory to murder!! I really can't wait until we get new ownership.

Look on the bright side. This now makes room to add a guy that says yes sir and no sir and contributes to the community!! Super Bowl baby!

What else has he done as his time as a pro that makes him a evil person. . Let's be realistic again.. if he is found innocent. . Smitty literally breaking 2 teammates faces is way worst than anything Greg did..

And I love Smitty but he was a more of a problem child than Hardy.. So I don't want to hear about Jerry's moral compass as he invites Smitty for Sunday dinner..

He isn't signing a cheap restrictive contract anywhere. If he can play he will make bank.

1: This isn't shocking, and probably would have happened with or without the arrest.

2: He is going to make bank, more than we can pay him.

3: We have drafted well enough to make up for his absence.

4: I'm not really "into" paying elite money to a guy who just missed a year of his prime, and has shown to be a headcase.

Everybody and their brother knows he could have been found innocent the first trial. Him and his lawyer played that out well to keep him out of this past season. Free money and he lives to play another day. He will be found innocent, that's why they fought to get this coming trial, after the season but before FA.

Again, Dave views this as "fug me once and it's my fault, fug me twice and it's your fault" issue

Cool but let's not act like he wasn't a good player for us and this isn't going to hurt.. especially if he ends up where we have to see him twice a year..
