Report: Panthers Not Expected To Bring Back Hardy

I  enjoy paying a ton of money in support of the Panthers,   I do not care about winning...... They just better not field anyone with questionable morals.        My friends and family only watch football to see very high character guys drop footballs,  and fumble punt returns,  and our pass rush get shut down by any average qb with an average Oline,  that isn't Stafford and the Lions.

Many of you are forgetting that Hardy was a 1 year rental. He wasn't coming back regardless. There was no way we could afford to sign Hardy to a huge multi-million deal with Cam and Kuechly deals on the horizon.

I'd rather the team stand by Hardy and not give in to media pressure than choose to sit the guy who is on his last year anyways. The team was spineless dealing with this situation.

He had the option of sticking around the team when he was put on the exempt list and he showed up twice. He would rather post poo on twitter. Hardy didn't give a fug about the fans or the team this season while he was sitting on his ass getting paid. Dude can fug off for all I care.

He was basically forced to go on the exempt list because the NFL didn't want to have to deal with him anymore. They basically said stay away. Why would I show up for a team that doesn't even stand behind me as I go through and extremely difficult time dealing with a media witch hunt?

most importantly Peppers>Hardy... what he did in Carolina in comparison separates the haters versus from the real fans of this organization. They both were play makers yet took plays off but Hardy wasn't getting INTs nor scooping up fumbles or running the ball with offensive players chasing him. Peppers was a monster here and somewhere along the way the fans became haters and salty when it was time for him to leave.

furthermore, Hardy has had a year off, what will that do for him.... hope he goes to the AFC! LOL... good luck to him, them!

to be fair... hardy was just now entering his prime. he was a 5th (?) round draft pick, and wasn't expected to come in and dominate like a #2 overall pick was. peppers also never reached 15 sacks. for all we know hardy could have put up 20 sacks this season.

not saying hardy is better than peppers, but hardy was a monster in his own right.

This is probably more financially related than anything. They must believe that they can get good production without him. The financial savings is huge and they can spend the money in other areas with greater deficiencies.

Financial in the sense they don't want to find a significant portion of their money wasted...again.

You throw a lot of money at a player, you want to be confident he's going to be reliable and trustworthy enough to actually earn that salary.

I don't think the Panthers trust that Hardy can keep himself out of trouble.

Completely agree. The only question I have is who are they going to replace him with?

Why is everyone freaking out? We knew last year before all of this went down that he wasn't coming back.. we couldn't afford him. That hasn't changed.

All last year it was "we have hardy for one more year, let's try to find his successor and get that person some playing time behind hardy". Well we drafted Ealy and he got even more time than imagined to get ready because of the legal crap.

Anyways, we all knew hardy was gone last year. We understood it was a rental. Jeremy and voth have been preaching from the mountaintops that he was gone. so, why is everyone so worked up?
