I am not trying to stir anything up, but he mentioned the leaders who did not get down during the losing streak--Luke, TD, Kalil,   I wonder if he left anyone off this list?

i will do it.

cams not a great leader because he stole a laptop and he is still immature and fundamentals are terrible. not a franchise qb.

:D

Bene has been getting a ton of national pub since our season ended. He got a nice show of recognition from the SI "redraft" article and I saw him doing a segment on some national outlet about how Panthers fans couldn't pronounce his name.

Good stuff. It's crazy how my opinion of the secondary changed in like 2-3 months. If we can upgrade at one of the safety spots and NB.....I really think the secondary could be very very very good next year.

I can't believe there are people so childish that they instantly mock any mention of anything that might not shine a golden light on Cam.  Grow up, children.  You don't know how Cam's teammates feel about him, so stop acting as if you do.  I simply found Bene's omission interesting.  If you can't handle that, give yourself a timeout and go to your quiet place.  I am simply trying to understand the Cam situation--from on field to his contact negotiations--what are the inner workings. I would like to discuss with intelligent people who don't get butt hurt like my kids used to do when I giggled during the Power Rangers.   If you want to close your eyes tightly and put your hands over your ears, do it, but don't sarcastically attack another perspective because it is not what you want to hear.  Become that adult you aspired to be years ago.

If I were Cam and I watched the interview, I would be upset that he didn't mention me.  I mean, he is the face of the franchise, the QB, the guy about to become the richest Panther ever--surely that gives you the credentials for teammates to classify you as a leader, right?

Finally, being a great athlete does not make you a great leader. Are you assuming that Cam is a great leader because he plays QB?  Bene mentions Cam later and speaks fondly of him--how well he played after the injury--but forgot him when discussing the leaders that carried the team through the dark times. Do you think he should have mentioned Cam, and if so, why didn't he?  If not, why not?

I know some may think this is over-analysis, but it caught me off guard when he didn't mention Cam.  I think Rome found it interesting too, which is why he mentioned the wreck, the million-dollar smile, etc,.--to get Bene's reaction about Cam.  If you noticed too, what thoughts went through your head?

Yeesh, calm down there buddy. I don't think Cam or Olsen or anyone else is really worried of everything that their teammates say in an interview. Sometimes people forget to mention names. It happens. It seems like you are trying to stir poo up based on the flimsiest of evidence.
