I got some bad news.

We're going to have to catch Milwaukee or we're going to get swept again in the first by Cleveland.

Cleveland is on a tear right now and they're trending toward 2nd place.

We really need to get 6th place.

Sucks doesn't it? Last year we were one win away from the five seed (fuging Boston) and instead got swept out of the first round. This year appears likely to be set up for the same disappointment. I'd hope for Milwaukee to stumble, but 2 of their best players are out and Khris Middleton is carrying them. It's crazy.

I think we will battle back and forth with Milwaukee but will eventually take the 6 seed while Washington and Chicago fight it out for 4/5, Cleveland will get to 2 and I think Brooklyn overtakes Miami for the 8th seed.  The worst that could come of a winning streak is playing Chicago in the first round, but if we are doing that well in general then we are definitely gonna give them trouble.

i think milwaukee stays at #6.

wizards have been slumping lately, so i'd give the edge to chicago for the #4 seed.

i don't think brooklyn beats out miami though. whiteside is nice and i think they'll figure something out and finish pretty strong.

What sucks is that the upgrades made in the offseason have us playing for the exact same seed as last year.  Of course, that's due mostly to starting out the season as a big dumpster fire.  Everyone seems to be settling into their roles now.  Even Lance has found his place as the distributor with the second string.  And I think elevating Biz over Big Al, even for just a brief moment in time, has made Big Al step up his defensive game.  He looked like he had lost some weight to me also.
