So, no one learn anything from the bad call from the superbowl?

The point is the pass play should never have happened but due to someone's decision it happened. He could have as well ask Wilson to take a knee. The reaction would have been the same. That means a person on the sideline chose to lose.

I do believe if his life of that of his family depended on that play he would make the correct the decision. Amazing the stupidity man are capable of when they're allowed to freelance mentally with no recourse.

This past season there was 109 passes at the 1 withOUT an int. Lynch had 5 carries from the 1 all YEAR and scored only ONCE.

So on one hand it's normal for Seattle in that situation to pass.

The question is, which play call has the highest probability of going correctly? A pass or run?

Saying they chose to lose is naive.

The only thing to be learned is what I already knew.  People are human and they make mistakes.  Of course, had that pass been about a foot to the right, the ball would be caught, and either its a td or second down (or perhaps third, I don't remember which), and they give the ball to Lynch or Roll Wilson out and probably score.  And then the discussion would be, why didn't the Patriots stop the clock and give Brady a decent shot at getting in fg position.

Lynch running, a QB sneak or a bootleg. So many options. If his life or that of his family depended on winning that game he'd pick one of those. Shutgun and putting yourself on a 6-7 yards disadvantage on 2nd down is an "I don't give a fug" call.

And you know the call would be different if their lives were on the line how?

Can you also tell me the price of oil in 2018 while you are it?

Jon Gruden is a damn good coach

nah he's not.  he never developed dick in tampa bay so i have no idea why he has this reputation as a "qb whisperer".  none of his teams won a playoff game after the 2002 season.  let's also not forget 2008 when he took a 9-3 team to 9-7 and out of the playoffs capped by a week 17 home loss to the 4-11 raiders in a win-and-in scenario.  he also ran cadillac williams into the ground and his players reportedly hated him.

gruden is in his own category when it comes to unjustified mystique and i think we have monday night football to thank for it

It was 2nd down and they had 1 timeout left, Pete tho he'd have 3rd & 4th down to also try an punch it in. Wilson's pass was s'pose to be a TD or incomplete to stop the clock. If that pass was to the receivers inside shoulder we'd probably be talking about a repeat.

Only idiots and casual football fans will say it was a bad call. People that understand the game get it.
