4 Things Greg Hardy Must Do to Remain a Panther

That's a little ridiculous to even consider especially if he gets a not guilty verdict. An apology either way should be in order. However, giving back 12 mil? Hardy didn't ask to sit for the year, he wasn't even officially sentenced.....so.....no. Giving a discount, yes. League minimum? I don't know. Considering he made 12 mil for nothing last year, a pay cut should be an absolute. How big? That's the question.

Posting here is irrelevant.

Verdict doesn't matter. Even if innocent he still shows poor judgement....the type that results in him screwing over his team. Which is what happened

and it isn't Hardy hate. It isn't being a Panther fan first. Not being a fan of individuals. Individuals come and go....this fanbase overall IMO gets too attached to players

Picking the wrong girl to like.. well a lot of us if we are honest have made a poor judgment in that capacity. .

Would it be great to have 2013 Greg Hardy back?  Absolutely!  Hardy didn't play but one game, and has basically been on his own.  In 2015, will Hardy be the best he has been?  Or will all that time away from the game hurt him?

The article is click bait to me.  Hardy has no intention of giving any money back to the Panthers.  He put our team in the conversation about domestic violence, and JR doesn't want that kind of attention brought to his team.  Hardy can say one thing, but he will easily do what's best for him.

Football is a business, and he'd be foolish to settle on a home-team discount.  He wasn't formally suspended or punished by the league, that was the team.  That was their call while they waited for his day in court.  He has nothing to gain by giving money back other than some fan goodwill.  If Hardy goes out (for whichever team) and gets 10+ sacks and makes some plays, then that's all the goodwill most fans require.

Hardy is going to probably have to do one more rental year for someone, but he's going to have to really produce at a high level in order to get the contract he would have gotten this off season.  I don't think the Panthers need him as much as some fans.  Does he make our team better?  If he's in shape.  Is it worth it for one more year only to have him snapped up by someone with tons of cap room next season?  Yeah, not sure if that money wouldn't be better spent elsewhere.

I don't see Gettleman doing that again unless Hardy takes a one million dollar deal or something.  I don't see Greg doing that.

Charlotte Night Clubs will brace for decreased revenue.

Voth got me, he got me to read his fantasy blog post about an "IF" that would never actually happen. If stipulation 1 came true, stipulation 3 becomes asinine.

The NFL should give the Panthers their cap space back. The NFL is the one that caved to pressure. Hardy was prepared to fulfill his obligation to play for the Panthers and if stipulation 1 comes true, he did nothing to warrant the 15 game paid suspension he received.

And the results for us don't often involve being kicked out of our workplace for a year.

Depends on your job....

many that post on this board likely would have faced worst disipline. Many less

My wife's company would fire her. Mine company likely doesn't...but decent odds exist I would

Regarding #3, if he is found innocent of all charges, why would he give or even need to give the money back?  I wouldn't, and I don't think anyone in their right mind would.

There is very little chance Hardy plays for us next year.  But whatever chance there is would require him to be found innocent, and to make some sincere efforts to make changes in his life, with plenty of evidence of his better behavior and avoiding the wrong kind of people.
