Early odds on next years superbowl

The Panthers continue to get little respect around the NFL.  Even after finishing the season on a 4 game win-streak and making some noise in the playoffs.  Even after having 8 rookies contribute substantially during that stretch.  Even after having no significant FA to resign.  Panthers are 45-1 to win the super bowl.  To give that a little perspective, here are the other teams and their odds:

The simple fact that the Saints, Giants, and Rams have better odds than us is mystifying!

Odds are about betters and not teams.  More people will put more money on the Giants, Saints and Rams than the Panthers.

I do not think it is that bad, we should probably be 40-1 as I think we fit in to that group (would put us behind Cards/Rams and ahead of Chiefs/Chargers/Giants).  The only team better than 40-1 that I do not get is the Saints.

Even if I remove my homer glasses, I can't see how the Panthers are worse than the Saints.  Especially if you consider the off-season moves that the Saints will be required to make in order to stabilize their cap. Pretty sure they can only kick the can down the road a few more times before their franchise explodes.
