So would you rather get completely blown out...

I would rather know my team was in an excellent position to win, even if they lost on a stupid play.

Panthers vs. Patriots was painful, but definitely more bearable because the game could have gone either way right to the end. The players did a great job of representing the Carolinas that year, fans could hold their heads up high.

Getting blown out, never having a chance to win... that is unbearable.

If we have to lose, I actually do prefer to lose in a nail biter.

But i have to be honest; losing that way hurts worse, and the hurt lasts longer.

It's because of all the "what if" and "if only" that you torture yourself with afterward.  Blowouts you just walk away from knowing you got your ass kicked.  You lick your wounds and move on.

When you came thisclose to winning though, ouch :(

I say lose like that.

I mean come on.  2 plays before a deflected ball popped in the air and SOME how dropped in a guys hands otherwise it was a hail mary anyway.

Getting blown out just tells the world you were out classed, no excuses. You suck and should not have been there in the first place.

Denver should not have been in last years Superbowl. They didnt deserve to be there and got there by beating weak teams and avoided the Patriots as always.

Tell me Im wrong? (I dont actually believe that, its just a point) Defend how the team that was allowed to score 8 mercy points while giving up 42 deserved to be in the Superbowl?

What if Seattle had scored and Brady still turned around and hit Gronk for the winning TD?  It was still a close game-- much like the Panthers Patriots Superbowl.

I would be proud of how my team played.  How many would rather have gotten blown out by Arizona in 2008 instead of like this?  We all duck our heads-- because we all know that weaknesses were masked then exposed for the world to see. we went back to what we were-- an 8-8 or worst team pretending to be a contender.

Agree with all of this except the bolded part, Denver kicked the Patriot's ass in the AFC Championship, so not really sure what youre talking about.
