In my opinion, even that wasn't as bad as this.

Rich just lost the Super Bowl. Wish our players cared that much when we lose to the Ravens, Steelers, and 7 other times this year. Rich has my respect, he's not a dirty player and he backs his words. We should celebrate guys like that.

Completely? They had one boneheaded play punished mercilessly. It was abrupt for sure. But we are talking about one play, not a sequence of multiple events.

That it happened in The Super Bowl magnifies it all a thousand times.  This will be the topic of conversation in the sports world for a while, and will still be getting discussed when next season rolls around.

Maybe I don't care much about the fist fight or ejection. I know some people do, especially parents. To me the topic is the decision to throw it to Ricardo Locket when you have a hall of fame running back behind you.
