Stupidest play call in the history of the NFL

It was ballsy which is why we don't understand it on this message board.

There's a very thin line between 'ballsy' and 'stupid'.

Right before the play, I said to everybody watching with me that ball security was absolutely paramount where they were.

I expected either a Lynch run or a play action to Lynch and a Wilson run to the outside.

Anything but a pass, and in tight quarters even

Saw word that Darrell Bevell said the receiver should have fought harder for the ball.

He may technically be correct, but I've lost any respect for the guy throwing something like that out there.

You blew it. Own it!

Lol what a fuging idiot. He should never be considered for a head coaching position if he actually said that...

I even tried to find an excuse for them... Hoping the Pats interfered.... Anything, and nothing was there. The DB had just as much right to the ball as the reciever, and it just so happened that the flight of the ball carried the reciever into being leveled out of the play.

Nope.  It was an off throw and a clean pick.

If by ballsy you mean: "Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory while squandering the talents of an All Pro running back who coincidentally excels at scoring in short yardage situations", well then, I would have to concur with your assessment.
