Really? I havent noticed Irvin do anything. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I didn't see it.

I wasn't paying much attention to him in the Miami game but I remember him getting a good push a couple times against NYG.

To be fair, after watching film, I will say this about Hayden: He can't stop the run worth for crap we all know that. However, he does get some good pressure in passing situations. This is because when it comes to rushing the passer, leverage is key, and he does get some good leverage due to what looks like good upper body strength.

However, he lacks the lower body strength it takes to change directions and go after the runner...he literally gets tossed aside. Hayden will play in the regular season but mostly in passing downs I feel. Marlon Favorite is our best DT against the run; even better than the veteran Damione Lewis...I don't think there are many DTs out there that would provide much of an upgrade. I fear this is a situation where a rotational system based on each person's strengths will be employed.

I think you hit it right on the head man, I agree 100%. Unless we make a blockbuster trade then I think this is pretty much what we will see this season. I could see Hayden starting and then Favorite coming into the game in certain situations. I guy from another team could help in the rotation but that means we will have to keep 5 DT's.
