Chance that Hayden Starts in Week 1?

There isnt a whole lot of "getting up to speed" for a big run stuffer in the middle There are only so many stunts & twists to learn and that will mainly be terminology. Whomever we pick up will be far enough along in their career that they will know what to do... "Be big, occupy 2 men at all times, dominate the LoS, keep the OL off the LBers and hit the friggn RB or whomever has the the ball when he gets near you."

They'll be able to start from day one. No problem.

If they cant we dont want em.

That being said there is a 0.0% chance Hayden starts game one for us.

Hopefully you are right but I have this funny feeling that he gets the start at philly and then quickly gets pulled after a couple big plays. I can hear foxy now saying how much Hayden improved from game to game as his reason for starting him.

As far as guys we get after cuts don't expect a big name or someone who is even capable of starting. Its probably going to be an underachiever or some soon to be washed up veteren.

Favorite should win the job. Even Fox should only be able to take so much of seeing Hayden get put 10 yards into the defensive backfield.

Maybe he could play middle backer or even safety! That way he can start out 10 yards from scrimmage, imagine what he would be if he could actually move forward on a play. Wait, Wait...he would just trip over his own feet and go down on his own, probably not a good idea!
