The Super Bowl Sunday gameday thread

Are you kidding me? Cam would be nowhere without our defense. 12-4 was not due to Cam and Cam alone. Falling ass backward into the Playoffs this year was not due to Cam alone. It was due to a retarded NFL rule.

You homers slay me.

Holy crap you are so damn negative.

It is one thing to voice your opinion, but supporting your team and its players does not necessarily make one a homer.

It is called positivity, and it is not a bad thing. You should try it some time.

So winning your division and getting a playoff spot is a retarded rule? How bout we have a best of 3 for a super bowl. gtfo here

The day WE lose out with a better record to a team with a horrible one and they make the Playoffs, I bet you'll be one of the biggest moaners on this board. It's a terrible rule. You could technically win a division with six wins and make the Playoffs. No way a six win team deserves Playoffs.

SO far every losing record division winner has won at least 1 playoff game, proving they belong. Records dont matter , you take care of division business you get in. Everyone knows that, you shouldnt cry if you dont win your division.  If you take away that rule 6 games a year for a team become alot less important and it would greatly diminish the level of play. Everyone knows for a fact divison games and so much more exciting then other games.

this is undisputable

    • This is factually incorrect. He was a two time Pro Bowler with the Rams and in fact statistically he was better with the Rams in his best season there than he has been with the Lions(could change with this season). Some of his per game stats have creeped into being marginally better with the Lions but there have not been dramatic differences in his play, actually. The biggest reason that McVay and he ended up splitting was McVay didn't think he could win a title with Goff. TBH.....so far he was 100% correct. Stafford almost immediately won them a SB and Goff in a historic run was about 70% of the reason the Lions faltered in the NFC championship game. He missed critical throws all over the first half and throughout the second half that he normally wouldn't. He choked. So, until Goff actually does win a SB...McVay has been right.
    • they have the best defense they've had in a long time...probably the best in the reid/mahommes era.  but i think they are probably the most beatable they've been in a while as well. record doesn't exactly bear that out, but they just don't look as strong on offense as they usually do. lots of reasons for that, like trying to build chemistry with newer receivers, but right now they just aren't as frightening as they typically are. i mean they'll probably win tomorrow, but i don't see them as the strongest team in the AFC right now.
    • He will likely remain unsigned the remainder of this season(barring someone being in a pure QB panic AND making poor decisions) largely due to the cost. I do think he will get multiple offers to be a backup QB and perhaps a couple to potentially start this offseason.  I will continue to beat the same horse over and over.....he should go to a successful team with an established starter. If I were him, go to somewhere like SF, LAR, etc. Somewhere with a successful QB coach and brilliant offensive mind and ALSO a set situation at QB. Ride the pine and adjust for a year or two. Chill and be around better culture. I would suggest the same for Bryce but he will be limited to wherever we can trade him.
