Shes not due for almost 2 weeks? Attention-whoring at it's finest. Honestly, where do people come up with this crap?

Had my son 5 weeks before his due date and daughter one week before hers.....babies come when they come. Due dates are educated guesses....

Attention whoring? Not her fault media pimps this story.

No way you can miss the super bowl. Say we get there and cam is going to be a dad. You guys are ok with him missing the game? Dude is paid MILLIONS not a guy at Wal-Mart missing his shift. If he has to he should miss the birth and his girlfriend should understand.

Not saying Sherman's not a great player. But Sherman is probably 3rd or 4th best player on that defense this year.

Cam's, much more irreplaceable in the Panther offense.

Now, it doesn't make it right, that one guys allegedly more "replaceable", thus he can miss the game more for his child's birth. However, it would make the level of vitriol most likely situational, if one was a QB vs another good to great defender, on a team stacked with a bunch of good defenders.

My Two Cents.

There really is no right decision here.  Honestly I do not think that any of us can say for sure what we would do in that situation.  Yes, of course any of us would leave our job for the birth of our child, however Sherman does not have an ordinary job and none of our jobs have an event anywhere close to the magnitude of the Super Bowl.  That is not to say I think he should stay, just saying that none of us could truly predict how we would handle the situation.

I truly hope that such a situation does not arise but if it does then the two of them should make the decision that is best for them and nobody else should have a problem with it.

If it was me, I'd miss the game and go see my first born son being born. My family is the most important thing to me. It's definitely more important than the game of football.

Knowing my girl, she'd tell me to play, but deep down I know she'd want me to be there with her and I would.
