Jake Delhomme was the 7th best QB in the league last year

well if we're just choosing two random games years apart then i am very hopeful because of how he performed in the 2006 playoffs against the bears and the last game of the season against the saints

i mean as well as we're just pulling poo out of thing air and using it to justify our own biases

Can we throw in the entire 2003 playoff run as well?

lol against Seattle the Panthers were down their number 1 running back (who was also their number 2 receiver), finished the game with some asshole whos name I can't even remember after Nick Goings went down, and had Keary Colbert lined up on the other side of Steve Smith.

how in the world is this comparable to jake's meltdown in arizona, how in the world do you connect those two games, how in the world would anyone defend such a ridiculous statement

these questions i must have answered. I'm leaving for tibet to find it.

I'm comparing all of Jake's games from 2008 to all of Drew's. I didn't even realize the playoff stats were included in the breakdown on nfl.com until I compared. I realize you Jake homers like to pretend the playoffs didn't happen and don't count but the fact is Jake ended up with more ints than tds last year. If your trying to make an argument that Jake is a better quarterback than Drew your a bigger homer than I thought and not even worth having a discussion with.

No said he was better either. How do you keep sounding more ignorant all the time. The NFL keeps separate stats for the regular season versus the preseason and the post season. Know why? Because they are not the same and any comparisons need to be equivalent.

You are also ignorant if you think any of us forgot that game or are excusing him. Those of us who paid big bucks and sat through it have every bad play ingrained in our memory. The difference is that we are moving on because it is ancient history. All that matters is 2009. Welcome to the present.

there's no excuse, and we play in the same kind of Air Coryell vertical passing system we did under Henning, the system wasn't uprooted and created from scratch

I am not sure that is true if you look at Davidson's pedigree. He is not from that same line. You can't really compare what we did in 2007 or even 2008 to what we will likely do in 2009 or beyond. Last year was Davidson's first complete one with all the parts and pieces. His philosophy is more in line with stretching the field from side to side versus deep and short.

Jamal Robertson, who also caught 5 passes in that game.

a ridiculous statement/comparison that nobody has said. Are you having fun making poo up?

Nobody is trying to connect the two games, it doesn't matter if they could or couldn't be connected, but the last two playoff games we've been in, Jake hasn't been able to provide good QB play. Deac was just pointing that out

If your not saying he's better then what's the point of bringing up head to head games? Why say Brees didn't take his team to the playoffs and say Jake and the Panthers beat them? Just throwing out random information for no particular reason?

If you remember you were the one who brought up the postseason not me. I just pointed out that the stats weren't consistent because the Saints didn't get into the post season. And simply pointed out that while Brees had a better rating, that Jake has always played better head to head versus Brees. In fact Jake has never lost to the Saints as a starting quarterback. As long as you are going on other team's message boards throwing up Bree's passer rating in our face we are going to retort with other facts as well. What do you expect??
