The Case for Seattle - (what it means for the Panthers)

1.) Style of football most resembles ours. Seattle does what we do... just better. It tells me that this style of football cannot only win a championship, but can win multiple.

2.) We lost to them and I'd rather have lost to a football team that is the best in the league. Its a good gauge for what we need to do become a contender next year.

3.) Brandon Lafell is NOT a panther anymore. There is absolutely no reason to pull for him to get a superbowl. I could understand Steve Smith, who spent his entire career here and expressed his love for this city, this fan base and the organization.. But Brandon Lafell??? I don’t have any loyalties to him.

4.) Cam Newton is more like Russell Wilson than he is like Tom Brady. Russell Wilson is the only 2nd Non-white quarterback to lead his team to a superbowl. There has been a consistent narrative that you cannot win a superbowl with an athletic quarterback. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks will have beaten the 2 best pocket passers of the last 10 years. (*Yes, I know its because of their defense.)

5.) Every good team has bandwagon fans. We should win and get some.

6.) Patriots – spygate, deflategate, tuck rule. Yes It does matter. Cheaters never prosper … unless you’re New England. Seahawks had players who used PED’s, they were penalized. Panthers had players who used PED’s in the year our Super Bowl run. They were penalized. The NFL punished the saints for the Bounty scandal. It seems that every allegation that comes against the Patriots, they’re never touched. There’s no reason to give them special treatment. I’m sure that every team in the league has some shady things going on, but when a team is rewarded for it, it’s hypocritical.

Everyone knows the patriots cheat and suck. I'd be more annoyed to have to continue to hear about the Seahawks dynasty than oh the patriots are still the best. I hope Brady tears them up because I'd rather see their defense be taken down a notch. I'd also not have to have this era of our team live in the history books as an also ran next to the greatest defensive dynasty Seahawks and young Hercules Russell Wilson. Next season needs to be our time and I don't want them in the way. We don't need Seattle to exist to validate our team. We'll win because we're that tough and talented. We have potential to do everything they do better. Just some receivers and a stud safety away.

Agree. Not to mention we'd be just as validated with NE winning. Cammy Cam is 1-0 against Brady and the Pats, costing them the #1 seed and possibly the Super Bowl last year.

I like the bad boys pistons and MJ's bulls comparison. We need that one last piece to get us over the hump and dethrone them and we can own the NFC for the rest of the decade. Theyre better than us now but i truly believe we've layed a better foundation than them

I should have trademarked it last year when I was the first. Only in our case Cam doesn't spend two years in the Southern League riding a bus like his neighbor and mentor MJ. That's bad, very bad, for the other 31.

This is such an inferiority complex! "But but we lost to the best!" lol

Yes, they were punished for cheating using PEDs. And the Pats were punished for Spygate. Deflategate hasn't been solved yet. Tuck rule isn't cheating.
