Our OL was a train wreck....our WR corp was a rookie and three slow journemen....our RB's were hurt much of the season....we had our best DE gone for the entire season....our DB's consisted of bargain bin signings early in the season and rookies in the last 1/3 of the season.

 

If you cannot see that this is a very questionable roster and that Rivera actually did a lot with a little, then it is YOU that should watch more football....Dude.

No surprise, he did another great job with a cash strapped team...he never lost the locker room and kept his head when things looked real bad. He still makes some mistakes here and there but he's a solid leader.

Once he played the right people our roster was fine. (Not world beaters obv, but serviceable)

He did an ok job. Coach of the year no.

I'm speaking solely from a coaching perspective. Clock management, talent evaluation etc. Rivera wakes up when he thinks his job is jeopardy and to close the year he did do a pretty good job. Players play hard for him and that's cool but he has a lot to work on. Maybe you should try decaf today. Dude.

You make it sound as if I am the one making that judgement. This is what was widely recognized and reported all summer long. Start reading more and listening to the experts out there instead of thinking that the only folks who know anything are on this site and everyone else knows nothing. I watch a ton of football and read a ton more. I am just saying what I saw and read all year. Anyone who thinks this roster wasn't one of the worse particularly on offense is delusional. It is funny how everyone here says we gave Cam no weapons and then when I criticize the roster folks like you act as if we had a talented bunch and Ron didn't do much. How two faced.

They became what they were because of him and the coaching staff. It wasn't like he refused to put them in, they either were not healthy or weren't ready. The fact that we won a playoff game starting 6 rookies was unprecedented until he did it. He did the best job of his short HC career. Maybe you should try basketball because you know nothing about football.

I actually don't think he deserves it over Ariens who did a fantastic job with what he had to work with. But I still think Rivera did the best job of his 4 year career this year.
