I appreciate the irony that we still don't have back to back winning seasons, but at least we've got back to back playoff appearances for the first time.

Just lol. But he's definitely a solid coach. 7-8-1 considering everybody we lost in the offseason, injuries, distractions, lack of chemistry, etc. is actually pretty damn impressive. Plus a playoff win...

Rivera can do it if he recognizes his faults and gets some help.

1. Can't recognize talent, needs to understand his loyalty will ruin him, from dog housing Norman and starting the wrong oline, secondary etc. Hopefully he learns with more options due to cap.

2. Game managing, time, clock, needs a killer instinct

3. Needs a better supporting cast, again a loyalty, 'it's good enough' issue. Doubt this will change, I sense he'll do or die with the coaching we have now unfortunately.

4. Needs to take more risk, trust himself and his players, which affects all of the above.

If he can recognize his weaknesses he really can be a great coach.

Just my opinion.

At work I hear the term "firedrill" come up a lot. It pretty much means we have to work on something we never should have worked on so we don't count it towards our billable time. I'm not sure how much credit we can keep getting Rivera for pulling the team out of holes he puts them in.

We got absolutely blown out 6 times this year, and Cam Newton is our quarterback. That's not a good season of coaching however you spin it.

He actually did do a good job even though some don't want to admit it. The guy is a solid leader.

The biggest mystery to me is why he completely went away from going for it on 4th down after we had immense success with it last year, why would you just do a 180. To be honest that is my major gripe with him, why would any coach completely abandon something that was our idenity and gave us excellent results
