RG3 Blames Poor Performance from last year on Ankle Injury

Bob 3 brought all this stuff on himself. He first bought into his own hype---something McNabb warned him not to do. He thinks that he can get by on athleticism, and as such probably isn't as good of a student of the game as he should be. He got hurt, and instead of just sitting out, he goes back in---like the football Jesus he thinks that he is---and worsens his condition to near catastrophic levels. Then, after all that, he comes back too early again and blames his poor play on injury.

And, BTW, his play at the end of the year was mediocre at best.

And if you think RG3 gets a pass from whoever is interested in destroying Cam then you don't pay attention to football.

RG3 was consistently destroyed by the media and even his own coach last season. It's time to drop that the whole world is against Cam shtick. It's stale

Yeah, but the difference is; RG3' usually deserves his criticism when he gets it. LOL

Who are we kidding! Wilson is a pretty good QB. He has very good touch on his deep balls and is accurate. Seattle doesn't have a star at WR so the coaching staff have to work around what they have. Wilson can make all the throws and is good in the pocket. His offense doesn't call for throwing it 40 times and racking up 17 INTs and inflated passing stats.

I thought Celibate Pimp and Thomas96, gave some of the most detailed and honest descriptions of RG3's and Wilson's game than we'll usually hear.

They were basically spot on.

Wilson is a much better pocket passer than some here are giving him credit for.  There are some PFF metrics to prove it which I referenced earlier in the season (but am just too lazy and basically unmotivated to do right now).  When he has a clean pocket, he is one of the tops in the league. When he doesn't, he does what Wilson does: scrambles around and finds a way to win.

Eh. My eye test (FWIW) says Wilson gets happy feet, rarely goes through multiple reads from the pocket, or routinely throws through tight windows. That's not what he's asked to do quite honestly.

Remember stats can lie; which is same thing many advocated with RG3, though they eye test screamed he was the beneficiary of a gimmick offense.

I see the same with Wilson, while to a slightly lesser degree (Wash, just went nuts on the gimmick offense his rookie season). He's rarely asked to win the games by Seattle. Most of the time, he's throwing off motion, play action, fakes, bootlegs, or the run game.

Big difference.
