Superbowl over hyped to the point of nauseum

It is actually to the point where I could care less about the damn thing anymore. They really need to scale the whole thing back and keep it in perspective. I know the NFL is all about the dollar, but there comes a point of over saturation. Even die hard fans of the two teams must be sick and tired of all the hoopla.

When the Panthers get in, I will not be watching any of this bullshat that they fill these two weeks with. Just do one week to get your revenue and play the damn game.

To be honest I've barely heard anything about the super bowl its all about these fugging balls and who did what and who didn't do what. There are two weeks between the Conference champ games and the super bowl; in that time they usually talk about the super bowl. Its the fugging super bowl, the biggest sporting event in the US and as soon as its over we all get a little depressed because there is no more football for like 8 months.

Since the Conf Championships I haven't tuned into ESPN or NFLN, Ive turned off sports radio, and haven't really been to any of the sports websites I frequent outside of the Huddle.

Just to avoid the fatigue of listening to all of the BS that has gone on.

Ill turn on the pregame poo at 2 or something and be all caught up and ready for the game.

I loved every minute hearing about the Panthers when they were in the Super Bowl. It was all I heard and thought of the whole time and it was wonderful.

The Super Bowl itself is a great show and an awesome time.

Sounds like you're just being a sourpuss to me. Just turn the TV off

When the Panthers make it I'll revel in all the hype and press, but until then I'll just ignore it all. To Seattle and Boston this is the greatest thing ever and you know they are loving all of this stuff (I just threw up in my mouth a little)

The only interest I have in the game is which team I want to lose and I go back and forth every day.

I hate both the teams in it and probably won't watch it.  I'd honestly much rather be watching Sleeping Beauty with my 3 year old daughter, which is what we do every SINGLE night.

If the Panthers were in it, that'd be a whole different story.....I would not be watching Sleeping Beauty.

    • He made some excellent throws but he always has made some excellent throws here and there. I don't know what to think, which is what I was apprehensive about. Is he going to have a decent downfield game? Because okay Legette dropped one, but someone was giving stats prior to the bye or during it where he had two downfield completions and one of them was the jump ball that is just launched and fingers are crossed that our guy comes down with it, and yesterday we saw that again. The Russell Wilson school of downfield passing.  I don't feel like that is sustainable, but at the same time you have to do Something to make the defense understand they have to defend that downfield throws. Like i said, confused.  I guess I'm going to review the game for myself and look closely at his mechanics and stuff because if he actually fixed that stuff it explains the better throws. And that has been my biggest objection, or what I see as the thing that makes or breaks his chances, that unorthodox dropback and tippy toe action and not having his feet set which limits velocity etc etc.
    • The negative Nancy in me (or objective?) says that they had a bye week to prepare for the Chiefs. However, it’s one thing to have a good plan and it’s another to actually execute it. For all the flack he’s received (from me as well), Bryce seemingly has put his head down and worked his tail off and his play is giving me hope. The first 18-game Bryce showed no progression whatsoever. He gets benched, comes back, and has shown steady progress every week he has started. I think I’m starting to see what the Bryce lovers and unconditional defenders were saying all along, and I hope he can show that on a regular basis for the sake of our QB1 position.
    • Yeah, we could still very well end up 4-13 with the 2nd pick.   I think LVR has the inside track for 1, with only a JAX team as a team on docket that could be beatable.
