Badass 52nd pick photoshop

2nd would really be reaching and there's no way G-man would reach for him in the 2nd. 3rd would be okay but 4th would be amazing value. If he's there at our 3rd pick and there's nobody else who's a must pick then I think we gotta take him. But if we can get him in the 4th (even if we had to trade up for him a dozen spots or so) I would be ecstatic. Knowing how teams pick though, some team will probably reach for him in the 2nd or early 3rd so I honestly believe there's very little chance of us getting him.

I think a lot of it depends On how fast he runs at the combine. If it under a 4.5 he won't be there in the third at our pick. He was generally acknowledged as running the best routes of anyone at the senior bowl and anyone who saw him make those leaping grabs all year knows what he can do. Given he would be a great returner and a slot receiver who could start day 1 he might be worth a 2nd but definitely a third. I kind of hoping he runs a little slow so we can get him later on. I remember Chris Johnson being a third round projection but ran so fast in the combine that he went in the first round.

I wonder if this forum would apply Appalachian state level hate towards ECU players and accuse all of the resident pirate fans of being slurpers, homers, fan boys, all that?

The difference is ECU actually produces some players that can play in the NFL.

and I have no affiliation with or affection for ECU.

I won't argue with the talent level difference, but for the record (current NFL players via ESPN)

Appalachian State PLAYER TEAM POSITION Travaris Cadet New Orleans Saints Running Back Daniel Kilgore San Francisco 49ers Center Sam Martin Detroit Lions Punter Demetrius McCray Jacksonville Jaguars Cornerback De'Andre Presley Carolina Panthers Wide Receiver Brian Quick St. Louis Rams

Wide Receiver

East Carolina PLAYER TEAM POSITION Dwayne Harris Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Chris Johnson New York Jets Running Back Linval Joseph Minnesota Vikings Defensive Tackle C.J. Wilson Oakland Raiders Defensive End

Yea, I noticed after I posted it could be taken to mean "has players in the NFL" rather than what I meant "has players that belong in the NFL".  I meant the talent level part you mentioned.  Not one of the App St players is worth a poo, whereas Harris is solid, CJ was a talent of the "burns the brightest burns the quickest" type, one time superstar, and Joseph is also solid.  I'm not familiar with Wilson though.
