Robinson doesn't add anything unique. If Munnerlyn and Goodson win the returner roles and Moore keeps impressing it seems he has been replaced. Jarrett hasn't done much but at least he adds a skill set we don't have. Robinson not so much.

Fo true.

Here's the deal....Jarrett is slow, but can catch, and blocks quite well for one of his experience level. Robinson is average in speed, can't catch, and he's not a great blocker. however, everything good each of them offers, Kenny Moore does it better (except block...he's awful at that). There is simply no logical reason to put Jarrett ahead of Moore in the depth chart, and there's no reason to keep Robinson on the team.

we can't necessarily blame Jarret's lack of production this preseason on him...it doesn't seem like we've thrown to him at all.

Can't that be blamed for Jarret not running good routes though? I think it's obvious that if he isn't getting the ball thrown to him, he isn't gettin OPEN! How is that NOT on him??

I do agree with the earlier post that he is a far superior blocker than Robinson.

I wouldn't be surprised if our third receiver ends up with less catches than one of our tight ends and maybe one of our backs.

True, on the offchance that we actually throw the ball instead of handing it off the #3 WR isn't very high on the priority list. The progression on a typical passing play goes something like this...

#1. Smitty

#2. Let's double check Smitty just to be sure

#3. Moose

#4. Another glance over at Smitty, just in case

#5. TE or RB maybe if we didn't leave them in to block

#6. One last check on Smitty, he's probably open by now

#7. OK, look over at the #3 WR, whoever it is

#8. Screw it, chuck it up into double coverage to Smitty

This definitely works. Well, it did last year

1. Hmm... Steve looks open. I haven't even started the play.

2. I wonder how my horses are doing today?

3. Forget the horses man, you've taken the snap.

4. Dude look at that streaking TE wide open out there, should I throw it ten yards over his head or look over at Steve?

5. I'll look over at Steve.

6. Whoa, better step up in the pocket just to make sure somebody can force me to fumble if my awesome line doesn't hold for ten years.

7. Gotta, Wanna, Needa, Getta, Hava, BOJANGLES! ....LOL that was random to think in the middle of a passing play.

8. God Moose is slow.

9. I'll throw it to Steve. He's wide open. Nobody around him for days!
