Found an article on BR where the former Pats linebacker took shots at Hurney, saying that cheating had nothing to do with their win over the Panthers, that we were out-coached and out-played.

Would like to get your opinions on whether Teddy is right or not.

Well we were..Fox made some boneheaded calls on two Point conversions and Kasay made a critical mistake at a time when it could not happen.

Ted did have a stroke at under 35 bc of possible PEDS but Peppers and our line were Roided up too. So who cares..Roids should be allowed in football..and so should blind side hits.

I remember there were suspicions Teddy was using roids during that Superbowl run too. It likely led to his heart issues.

Its nice to see that he's now able to run marathons and remain healthy now that he has stopped using. I expect him to defend his rings, who wouldn't. You think the Pats will hand the Lombardi back if they win and the report finds out they did cheat? Hell No. I don't think "the truth" sees the light of day anyway. Way too messy for the NFL. Can't have the biggest dynasty stripped of its honors.

I hear Warner made similar comments today too about losing to the Pats in the SB. That Pats stink just won't wash out.

We had most our Oline on roids that year too. Lord knows what flack JR would have taken had we actually won that game.

Still, I remember hearing the stories of taped practices prior to the Spygate. When Mangini sang like a bird I remember thinking, HUH, maybe they did cheat after all. Maybe Hurney and Co weren't so crazy.

Exactly...and the historic success of the Pats will always have that smirk of..well they did this....and this...and this....but Id kill for that legacy.

Like they say..If your not cheating..your not trying. My first thought about deflate gate was that Cam should deflate the balls too! BRILLIANT! !

I can understand why he would diss on Hurney but he should of kept his mouth closed about the panthers. Hurney doesn't work for the panthers anymore so he in no shape, shadow or form represents the panthers. He could say whatever he wanted to about Hurney but now that he's going to diss the Panthers, a team that was an underdog and yet only lost by a last second field goal.

If I recall correctly didn't teddy get a bloody nose in the game by hitting another patriot?

Out played? If kasey doesn't kick the ball out of bounds they lose.

 

I dont think the ball going out of bounds had any affect on the last drive, other than the extra 20 yards.

 

Reliant Stadium was so warm that night that both defenses were exhausted in the 4th quarter. Fox reaching for points and them Pats were lucky enough to have the last drive is what won the game for them. I am sure if there were enough time on the clock we would have drove down for a TD

How does one determine the extent of being out played and out coached verse the impact of any illegal activities may have on that statement??

 

That's like saying to people who lost money on investing in the stock of a public company that I made money on......... that I was a more diligent and savvy investor and as a result I deserved to profit on their losses..............(but never mind that I was accused of making insider trades on private information).
