Fantastic four

I was right yet again.

I knew this movie was in trouble when no 3D plans were made for the release.

And you guys are excited about Deadpool. I'd temper my expectations. Seriously. Fox is horrible with CBMs.

Deadpool actually has a badass trailer and people that are insanely passionate about the project.  This Fantastic Four never had an ounce of what Deadpool has.

And I agree mostly about Fox, but the past two X-Men movies have been pretty damn good.

The problem started with FOX. They hired a director that had no desire to make an actual Fantastic Four film. It's been documented that Josh wanted to make a dark and gritty movie with horror elements, basically a sequel to Chronicle. That is the exact opposite of what Fantastic Four should be. To FOX's credit though, after Trank went off the rails on the crazy train they tried their best to salvage things. When your director is constantly drunk or high it's sort of hard to make an actual movie.

I just saw this last night, and I thought it was a good reboot. Told the origin story, moved it along and ended it. What they do with the next will be the test imo.

not sure if serious, but I seriously doubt Fox has a sequel with this crew.

I have a hard time trusting reviews for comic book movies. So many people decided before this movie even released a trailer that it was gonna be bad hearing the first reviews are bad doesn't really surprise me.

Agree in general, but when what you're hearing is universally bad, it's usually spot on.

Stories coming out that the director showed up for work some days pretty well lit and treated cast and crew like crap.  Read one that said his claim of studio interference might have held some weight but from what they've heard his original vision probably would have been just as big a bomb.

    • Yeah don't get me started on that. He ran cam into the ground
    • I once again wake up eat my breakfast and then read bs…man your logic only works in your head I can give you multiple examples but I’ll start with one easy clear example of it matters who you’re getting and what you’re planning on doing. Jadevon C and Khalil Mack were drafted before Aaron Donald 2014 biggest mistake of the draft as we look back and redraft or whatever. It doesn’t make sense to take a DE over a DT thats a stud game changing elite defensive player. You can’t draft of generalization typically you want a DE first but nowadays DT are just as impactful so you better choose right LA got a chip bc of Donald meanwhile K Mack is on his second team and J Clowney on his third  team. We don’t draft positions we draft elite prospects Graham seems to be a more productive disruptive player than either DE we may get. A Carter who I want is a Micah P clone they say I can see him impacting the pass game but the run game might leave him as a non factor. And right now our main focal point on defense this offseason will be stopping the run. We’ll be able to create pressure with A Barno back Wonnum healthy and a mix of blitzing which has helped us generate pass rush lately.  Graham if he allows us to stop the run and he generates a pass rush himself which at Michigan he’s know to do both consistently helps our defense then start controlling games would be a better pick then Carter for us moving forward so let’s dive deeper then just pick a DE over a DT because there’s so many factors to weigh out with these top ten picks in the nfl draft.
