News flash- Hurney is gone. They had a major head start from 2010, but since GMan arrived would you trade our drafts for theirs? That would be h*ll no.

What? Their 2014 draft? Since 2010 they've had one ring going on two rings...would I trade that for any of gmans drafts? fug yes.

This whole it takes time head start stuff is bullshit, it's not just our GM it's our owner. We haven't done poo since 2008 and their about to have two rings you call that a head start lol. What that's called is better ownership and better drafting. Hurney is gone but the head of the snake is still in tact and it baffles me anything who thinks the next few years will be so extremely different than the past 20.

I understand being a homer but it's undeniable, they're a better run organization than the Panthers.

If you're not seeing the changes that have been made to the way this team is run over the past two years, you're not paying attention.

Gettleman is everything Hurney wasn't.

Their front office and coaching staff is superior to ours and until that changes, nothin the players do will matter.

THAT'S the sad truth.

Obviously he is correct, but I think we certainly have the talent to compete with Seattle, we just need a few more pieces.

Coaching I would agree with. As for the front office, Gettleman is doing pretty damn good with the drafts, so it's not that far off.

I just don't know that we will ultimately get to where we want (Super Bowl victory) with Rivera as our head coach. He keeps having to re-learn from mistakes from previous seasons each season like he got amnesia in the offseason or something. It's frustrating beyond words.

I would love to see Rivera lead us to a championship, but if that light doesn't come on for good this upcoming season, we need to re-evaluate.

I think it is clearly evident that we are on the upswing with the way our business is handled vs hurneys blunder years. We're in good shape right now

While I understand the comment, I don't think it's a good idea to give this team (that's as hungry as any) any bulletin board material.  Wagner probably doesn't realize it with all that's going on around the SB that this quote will resurface next year when the two teams square off and I can guarantee you that the leaders of this team will harp on this statement by Wagner. This team already has a chip on it's shoulder and feels like out of the last few meetings they could have (and in some cases should have had) the Seahawks number.

Best of luck in the SB, we'll see you 2012s soon.

Hard to be mad when he's right

I hate the Seahawks, but it's hard for me to get mad about this considering he's right. Can't be a rivalry if we haven't beaten them.

Completely agree with these statements 100%. You can't consider yourself someone's rival if you haven't in fact beaten them yourselves.

In 2004 I had the great privilege to visit Rome. I had heard the phrase "Rome wasn't built in a day" but it wasn't until experiencing the Eternal City myself that I truly understood what it meant, how true it is, and how that phrase has truly had meaning in very walk of life, including sports, for centuries.

In 2010 they were just a 7-9 ringless franchise like the Lions and Browns and won a playoff game at home which they have said to a man got the ball rolling for them. Not sure what will happen Sunday but they've currently got the same number of rings as the Bucs and Saints and we still beat their @$$ on the regular. They've got a great team but have by no means been dominant with the lone exception of last years game against the Broncos.

I would not trade what I logically see our next decade+ being for theirs.
