Pro Football Spot's FA prospects for Panthers & some of my own thoughts

Derek Newton actually came into his own in Houston last year and he's only 27.  He's the type I'd expect us to take a stab at.  

 

Don't really like any of the WRs mentioned.

Yes Please to Torrey Smith... He would be my number one priority this offseason.  Baluga is right there too.  If we were able to secure both those guys we could easily go into the draft and go BPA

There will be no double teaming anyone with Benjamin, Olsen, Brown, and Torrey Smith on the field.

Get some competent OTs and our offense would be nigh unstoppable. Not even a bad OC could hold it back. I think.

I would actually love to have Crabtree at a decent price. I feel like he is on par with LaFell talent-wise, and as much as the Huddle likes to poo on him, we could have really used LaFell's talent this past season. I'd still like to draft a WR if possible, but Olsen, Benjamin, Crabtree and Brown isn't that bad of a group of guys for Cam to be throwing it to.

I just don't think Crabtree brings the speed factor we really need on the outside.

I'd like to try to get a couple of them. KB, Torrey Smith, Brandon Tate, Olsen would be a pretty darn good receiving crew. Those guys are also still young and it would free us up for a LT in the 1st round.

I would love to get Torrey Smith, he would fit the definite need for a speed/deep threat. I think Nicks or Crabtree would be cheaper and  an upgrade to Cotchery. The Panthers could then draft a speedy, deep threat like Devin Smith if they get Nicks/Crabtree rather Torrey Smith.

 

I would also really love to get Cameron away from the Browns.
