of course to properly answer this question we have to ask what we mean by "football." do we mean football in a vacuum? like JUST football? like just 3 hours of panthers football sixteen weeks out of the year?

 

the appeal is that football encompasses so much more than that. it's a paramount social event and for me personally i can't separate it from many of the things that are important in my life. football allows my passion for the game to coalesce with my friends who also have a passion for the game, the ability to come together and spend hours grilling and drinking and talking about poo, the superfluous nature of it as a conversation piece for nearly anyone (which helps in social situations and certainly with my job) as well as other things like tailgates, the raw excitement that comes from planning trips to games, and even this damn site, which allows me an outlet as well as input on all this, with the added bonus of contact with a diverse community of people who can be tapped for ideas and information and opinions and thoughts.

 

pussy might be better than your left hand, but a few minutes later the end result is the same, it's an itch you scratched and now you can focus on other things.

Dude yes I am old and chose football. My wife also knows that I have a love for Panther football and she know to not even try to give the P during the game or after a lost. Anyway I have 6 other days to hit it. BTW I am only 45.
