Josh Gordon Booze Does NOT Violate Probation ... Court Says

"He might be banned from the NFL, but Josh Gordon did NOT violate his probation by reportedly testing positive for alcohol ... The Cleveland Browns wide receiver was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation stemming from a DWI arrest in North Carolina back in July 2014. The 23-year-old was given a 60 day suspended sentence -- meaning if he violated his probation, he'll have to serve 60 days in the slammer. High stakes.

...

an official from Wake County Superior Court tells us ... "there are no regulations on alcohol consumption" mentioned in the terms of his probation. "Therefore, any failed NFL test for alcohol would have no bearing on his probation."The official also told us Gordon has had no issues regarding his probation thus far."

all this and he's still a stud football player. maybe stop worrying about 23 years old millionaires smoking pot and drinking as long as they stay outta jail and aren't hurting anyone? nah that would be common sense. can't have that. lets just ruin this kids career for something he does in his off time

Few things come off sounding as utterly goofy as portraying Gordon like he's some kind of victim of the NFL.

You also said you'd "give up potato chips if the League said I had to." Gordon has a long history of being a problem, at Baylor he kept getting in trouble, then transferred to Utah and got in trouble, goes to the NFL and gets in trouble. He's a bad apple, that's why he's getting treated so heavily-handed

Throughout my sheltered life living in white upper-middle class America, I know plenty of very very good people with great jobs that I respect and admire that smoke pot, drink, drink and drive, have a DUI, and their careers aren't ruined for it. Same with the good people in the NFL like that, I'd hope.
