since when is alcohol illegal? I've never heard of a suspension for alcohol

When your deep in the NFL substance abuse program they can set all kinds of stuff for you....

Dude has issues. That is why he was told that.

Very true, I doubt he'll want to live below his current lifestyle. Just speaking hypothetically.

I just always find it funny when people act like all NFL players will treat their money like toilet tissue. (not directed at the OP)

what's up with JB? Is he done for good? I know he had to sit out last year, but he's just as talented as JG in my opinion, 

 

I am just being cynical. Hopefully he is getting his poo together.  I look from time to time, but I have yet to find anything on him, which in this case is probably a good thing.

Blackmon's gone over a year and a half without any fails and successfully completed a rehab program that I think lasted more than like 3-4 months. I would definitely consider Blackmon if the Jags let him go, but Gordon at this point.... No chance.

 

if what you are saying is true - I'd take him for a low risk contract. A player with Blackmon's skill set would work very well here. Big guy who can catch. He'd get a lot of looks here too with KB and Olsen taking some defensive attention.

Blackmon's good, but Gordon looked like the best WR in the league last year.

 

He looked top 10, but in my opinion, wasn't as good as his stats show. No doubt an amazing talent but I don't think he's ever showed anything that puts him up there with Megatron, Julio, Dez, Brown.

that's really stupid imo alcohol isn't against the law he shouldn't get banned a whole year for that & yeah he got a dui but usually people get fined for that right?

Gordan isn't just a random dude....

He is DEEP in the substance abuse program. Basically a HUGE liability and concern for people....so yeah, I could see after his repeated usage of substances they told him no booze either.

He isn't a victim.

I know that after a DUI, IRL you're not supposed to drink alcohol while you're on probation. Can't even have it in your house.

 

It doesn't help that it's been reported that him and Manziel have been partying hard in South Beach and now Aspen as soon as the season was over. Guessing the probation office saw that and busted him.

Exactly. This isn't Joe Shmoe we're talking about they want him to be clean.  It's not that hard to pass up a drink for a glass of Sprite when you're making millions lol.  I wonder if he couldn't have ANY alcohol.
