Jon Beason as backup LB?

I would rather have someone who can play special teams.

If he's healthy he'd probably want to go where he at least has a shot at starting at MLB. If he's not healthy then there's no point.

 

If he's healthy and willing to sign for vet minimum and accept a backup role, sure, but I don't really see that happening.

kind of slow and limited to just playing MLB. not a good OLB and not a STer. he'd be only useful for giving kuechly a breather. he's a liability any other LB position.

 

rather have youth and/or versatility along with a healthy dose of speed that he can't provide.

Klein is the starting OLB and Glanton is an OLB. The only backup MLB we have is Jacobs and Blackburn.

Well limiting his snaps as a backup should help prevent him from injury as he's always been starting when he's been injured.

his little bullshit comments a few years ago made it seem like the parting wasn't mutual. He did nice things for us when he was here but his time as a Panther has come and gone.
