My Dad was a beast with those things.  I don't think I ever lost 1 run.  

 

 

Dude was such a freak he built a test ramp to get the weight right every time.  Not kidding, full test ramp, to specs, with laser finish line.

pinewood derby is the bomb.  I had one shaped like a carrot, with a  rabbit head sticking out of it, and another one shaped like a catamaran.
