It's also what I think is the most difficult position to project from college to the pros because of the NON PHYSICAL aspects to playing QB are more important than with any other position. And a big miss high in the draft is very costly, more costly than with any other position both dollar wise and team success wise IMO.

If I were evaluating a QB for a team, I would TRY to pin my evaluation of those "other" things down first then look at the physical because I think a lot of teams could save a lot of heartache, time and $$ that way. Most NFL QBs have decent enough physical skills. I don't think too many I can think of busted or had limited success because their physical skills sucked. Certainly not as many as who busted due to the other stuff (i.e. Ryan Leaf, etc).

Nevermind the fact he omitted the concusion Anderson suffered at the beginning of last season and then the MCL tear. Nevermind the fact Cyber brought up Anderson's 19 INTs in his best year when thats the exact number Jake threw last year except Anderson had 10 more TDs while Jake's 19 INTs was more than his own TDs.

Jake threw 19 ints last year? That's news to me. :rolleyes: Jake has NEVER thrown more ints than TD's here.

Yes because playoff stats OBVIOUSLY count for regular season stats. How many ints did Anderson throw in the postseason last year? Oh... wait...

Apparently Jake threw 7 ints against Arizona according to you as well.

Congrats! You successfully overlooked where it has been mentioned Anderson suffered a MCL tear that put him out the rest of the season.

Ok, if you give Jake a pass for every bad throw he had from 2005-2008 since he was either playing with an effed up arm or getting over one, then Anderson gets a pass as well.

See how holding people to the same standards works? It isn't a matter of convenience or hatred.

I'm not sure what Panthro was trying to prove with his little picture, but I am pretty sure it's an insult towards me therefore I feel complimented.

Yeah, so what? Anderson's best year wasn't as good as Jake's worst. He was the flavor of the day there for a while, that's all. And at least when Jake was flavor of the day, he got all those "Got Jake?" t-shirts printed. What the hell has Anderson ever done other than be taller than Jake and beat out Brady Quinn?

What evidence do you have that he had a bad arm that affected his play from 05-08? You have none. The only evidence we have is that he had the surgury specifically for the injury he suffered in '07 and he recovered from that well before the start of the season last regular season. He has not said that his arm was the reason for his bad play at all. You're just speculating that it was a problem. Jake has been Jake ever since '03. It's just that last year, he had more bad games than he ever had.
