Fact: John Fox has a top 5 winning record in the league since his inception. Your move

Fact: John Fox has a 15-33 record vs teams above .500 in the regular season.

Fact: John Fox has the 4th longest tenure with one team. I would hope that he is somewhere in the top 10 in wins as long as he has been here. Too bad most of those wins came against cup cake teams.

And that's where you have to understand injuries are more than an excuse.

Think the Pats wouldve missed the playoffs last year with Brady?

The pats went 11-5 without him. 99.9% of the time that would guarantee you a playoff spot. Injuries is just an excuse! Like I said, we very easily should have been a 9 or 10 win team in 2004 even with the injuries. We were nothing but an 8-8 team at best in 2007 even if we had Jake.

Coughlin has taken his teams to the playoffs 9 times. John Fox only 3 times. Sounds pretty consistent to me. Bill Bellechick was once fired from Cleveland. I guess he's not very consistent either then.

How many years has Coughlin been a HC compared to Fox? Please just stop. Your arguments contradict each other, so stop, it's old and boring.

You're right. Tom Coughlin = Bill Belichick.

Belichick was fired after a single losing season. The season before they went 11-5 and got to the playoffs. He was fired during the offseason that the team moved from Cleveland to Baltimore.

I'm not arguing that he's not consistent. 3 losing seasons in a row is very consistent. He's also been to the playoffs 8 times, not 9, in 13 seasons. Fox has 3 appearances in 7 seasons. Slightly better appearance % for Coughlin, but Fox has the better record.

Coughlin's been one-and-done in the playoffs 3 of the last 4 seasons. Again, pretty consistent.

No reason to dispute with Gayman, anytime you thrash him with a valid statement, he/she just ignores what it said and picks another statement to comment on. Gayman is the little fat kid who never got picked up in games and for that is infinitely mad at everybody who is not as miserable as he/she. No need to argue with that type of person, Gayman would argue that 2+2 does not equal 4 if he/she knew it would piss everyone off.

I agree he is very consistent. He took an expansion team to the playoffs 5 out of its first 6 seasons including two AFC title games. He then took over a 4-12 team and took them to the playoffs 4 out of 5 years with them and won a super bowl. John Fox is consistent as well. He goes 7-9 every other season. Very consistent.

Sorry, but madHatter already used that line. If you're gonna insult me at least come up with something of your own instead of ripping it off from another poster you unoriginal bastard ;)
