CJ sucked without Hardy until we got Ealy and Addison producing. Hardy is the man and CJ took half the season to start being a leader on the DL.

Don't get it twisted

 

You're twisting the fact that once CJ was healthy, that his play was as consistent as it has ever been.  Furthermore, CJ has been the leader of the D-line since Pep left.

TheNewStandard, I appreciate you being a Panthers fan, just try to keep an open mind so you can see these players for who they are. Don't underestimate CJ's value. We certainly gave him too much money...but don't think he wasn't worth most of it. CJ is a complete end against the pass and the run. Not too many of those guys around.

Bread, I declare you sound like a coach, (or, at the very least, someone who has been around the game an appreciable amount of time). It really does make me wunder, Bread...

 

I appreciate the kind words brother; growing up, being a coach was one of my aspirations, just decided to follow other passions.

 

I am just a fanatic of the game in the most literal sense. 

 

Loved playing the game growing up, been a Panthers fan since they started when I was just a little guy growing up in Missouri (Mom's side of the family tied me to NC), and have enjoyed the ups and downs of our history.

 

I enjoyed going to Rams games when I was a kid near St. Louis, however I was too young to really pay much attention; but when the Panthers came along it...I was excited to claim them as my own.

 

I'm sure a lot of you guys have stories that go in a similar way.

      People looking at the offense negatively need to step back a minute and remember that expectations were mighty low this year. We have a lot of young guys and rookies. And our qb is a newby in the system he is in with a new coach who has never been a head coach and signal caller combined.  This is a work in progress so only an approach which recognizes incremental improvement is valid for best measuring where we are versus  demanding immediate success after a 2-15 campaign last year.
