Isn't just about scoring it is about preventing opponents from scoring....

2nd half offensive possession %

2011-17th

2012 -19th

2013 - 4th

2014 - 17th

What season did we have a winning record?

Also, Chud never averaged more 2nd half points than a Shula offense in Carolina.

So yeah, I stand by my choice....10 pt lead entering the 2nd half. You want Shula....not Chud. Chud scored less and allowed opposing offensives more time on the field than Shula has

there was massive improvement by our defense when shula arrived. whether that improvement is from his ball control offense or an increase in talent is debatable, but shula is garbage. I'd take chud 10 times out of 10 if shula is the only other option.

They used the old 'new title' tactic.

I think setting Chudzinski up over Hamilton isn't a smart move.

I'm sure Hamilton is still in control of the offense. Like you said, they busted out a new title, so his duties aren't really defined. Could be a glorified water boy for all we know. I just doubt they gave him more power than the OC.

People so quickly forget Chud's second season here and how much the players hated him.

Still better then anything from Shula. And he wasn't so bad as teams didn't want him as their HC. Chud was great while here IMO.

Btw as far as players loving or hating staff I could care less as long as they are effective at their Job. Players loved Hurney and a few players/ex-players have stated that they don't like Gettleman. Just because you're liked or disliked doesn't mean you are good or bad at your job

Chud is a better OC than Shula but Shula is a more of a fit for what we do right now than Chud. Indy's offense is more in line with what Chud is good at but if I had my pick between Shula and Chud right now to run our offense, It's Shula. Defensive coaches like what a Shula offense brings them. Shula is a big factor with the defense being as good as it is. There are 2 irrefutable facts about our football team the last 2 years. Our defense and our rushing attack are going to be in the top 10 in the league. That is why we have won the division for 2 straight years now. Why change that?

It's a great move for the Colts because they don't seem to want to run the ball up there. Chud is a glorified TE coach and I mean that in a good way. It's what he does best. Its why I was so excited when he first arrived here and we added Shockey to Olsen. Unfortunately they let Shockey go and we kind of lost our way offensively for awhile trying to be too cute. He obviously lost the locker room that year just like he did in Cleveland. Remember when Kalil posted the tweet of 34 and 28 jerseys?

It's no coincidence that Cameron Jordan excelled under him and Fleener and Allen are now too. But there is more to winning games than throwing the ball. Do people realize that the offensive rankings are dominated by passing teams. Do people actually expect Shula to call plays like were the Saints? I seem to recall quite a few game winning drives with Cam last year under Shula when we needed it. Under Chud? not so much but I do remember a few pick 6's that reminded me of the Seattle game. I'd like to see a few decent pass catchers finally added before we start chucking it wildly and bumping Cams pass stats. A LT wouldn't go amiss either.
