Graham Gano tweets on Deflategate

Just so we're clear, we're talking about intentionally deflating balls (Pats) vs. balls losing air pressure due to temperature change (Gano).  As far as I know, the balls that are used to kick with have their own special protections, and are kept away from the every down balls.

As far as Gano goes, is it even possible in that short amount of time to lose THAT much air pressure.  I mean, it wasn't really that cold in either Charlotte or Seattle.  I would think the temperature change would have to be a little more dramatic and/or prolonged to effect a change in the ball.

So you're saying that playing in sub freezing temperatures wouldn't affect all of the balls that are in play? If Gano experienced decreased pressure in 40 degree temperatures, what would a 20 degree difference cause?

My guess is this can be proven to be unintentional but the media poo storm has begun and it will not end because people would rather believe what they think to be true rather than what can be proven to be true by a simple scientific equation. Because all logic goes out the window when you bring in the opinion of the general public.

It was said on radio the balls were checked 5 minutes before kickoff and at halftime.

So the refs were in on it? Damn we knew they always were haha.

They have Brady on the air from November commenting on Gronk spiking the ball, how he loves it because it deflates the football and he prefers deflated footballs.

Well,..

Then again air pressure which is PSI by the way not pounds cam vary quite drastically even when the same amount of air is placed in the ball.

Its actually quite possible to put 12.5 psi in a football which is the lowest of the legal range and purposely cool the ball so the pressure goes down down 5-10%.

Its just science. So watch it come out that no one deflated or altered the balls but they were allowed to get cold and "deflate" themselves.

That would be ingenuity not cheating.

It will be interesting to see what happens.
