"La'el Collins is the best right tackle prospect" -- Mike Mayock

Colts blog:

"One of the biggest areas that the Indianapolis Colts will need to address this offseason is their offensive line. The left side looks pretty solid, with Anthony Castonzo and Jack Mewhort seeming like long-term fixtures there, but the right side is a mess. ... If La'el Collins were to end up in Indianapolis, it's likely he would start off at right guard and then, with the contract of Gosder Cherilus escalating greatly in future years, perhaps sliding over to right tackle after a year."

Seahawksdraftblog.com:

"La’el Collins, who had a really good day today. He looked good in the Senior Bowl game, if not during the daily workouts. I’ve flip-flopped on Collins, originally seeing him as a top-five prospect in this class, then feeling he would be better at guard and more of a top-15 selection as a consequence. The all-22 tape against Alabama exposed some flaws (lack of push off the line, tendency to lunge) and suggested he simply had to move inside. But then you see this workout and can’t help but be impressed. He looked superb carrying very little bad weight. He moved around in the drills with a lot of grace for his size. He ran a nice 5.12 at 6-4 and 305lbs. I think he’ll go in the top-25."

NFL Draft Zone @ NFLDraftZone Feb 18

La'el Collins has shorter arms than Brandon Scherff. He's

also shorter in height. Interesting. Maybe OG is in Collins '

future as well.

Riese Draft Analysis @ RieseDraft Feb 18

La'el Collins from LSU is looking at a Zack Martin situation.

All-America LT but 33 1/4 in arms and 6'4" says OG. Stud at

LG or RG tbh

FootballSavages.com Derrik Klassen @ QBKlass 23h

For example, Zack Martin had 32 7/8" arms . La'el Collins ' are

only 3/8" inch longer

draftbreakdown.com Justin Higdon @ afc2nfc Feb 19

23 reps today for Ty Sambrailo, 21 for La'el Collins . Guard -

like measurements. Reminds me of the start to Bitonio's

combine last year.

longer arms than joe thomas or jake long... strange.

We'd be lucky as hell if collins is there at 25, would be like star falling a couple years ago

Truth^^^

I can't even make a draft prediction with Collins fake falling in the first. Collins is my first choice but DJ Humphries will be good as well just with some minor tuning.

The best chance of collins being there at 25 is that the teams ahead of us only view him as a guard or RT and devalue him because of that

Which could happen and would be awesome if so.

One, I think we will sign Michael Oher which will allow for the Panthers groom a future LT like Collins. Two, the right side of the line will be rock solid with Turner and Collins reuniting. Three, watch Cam go Ham B)
